Soon Christmas will be here.
I spent the day sleeping in & wrapping gifts. I specifically picked each gift in advance as well as the paper to cover it & the label to place on top. Each person can imagine what lies within & that it is for them but what is inside they don't quite know. Not until they open it.
Soon, in another day, will be Christmas. We will wake to find presents under a tree & hold them in anticipation. We will wonder for a moment what may be inside but just for a moment.
How do we see each breath we take? Each morning we wake? Even Christmas morning? Every night we lay down to sleep?
God wraps up each day for us & every moment yet to take place. He prepares each breath in advance. He wraps them up for us to discover. We don't know what each breath will hold nor the one to follow. We don't know any pains or joy that the day will hold when we first blink in the morning light.
What we do know is that He works for the good of those who love Him. So no matter what we may find beneath the wrapping, God is working for us. He is on our side. He loves us.
